Update 3-24-26

Mar 24, 2026    Rev. Jonathan Murray

Scripture reading - Psalm 71:14 "But I will hope continually, and I will praise you yet more and more."

--- From our mouths to God's ears!

We have great reason to hope, and we are moving closer to the culmination of that celebration.

Leading up to Easter/Resurrection Sunday:

- Palm Sunday (3/29) with bells ringing and choir singing, we will wave palm branches and celebrate

Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem

- As Holy Week continues, we will remember the struggle of that week, and on Maundy Thursday (4/2)

we will worship at 6p.m. as we remember how Jesus took a towel and washed the disciples feet.

On Good Friday (4/3) we will worship at Noon, as we remember the crown of thorns placed on Jesus' head

and the sacrifice in our stead made for the redemption of the world.

Easter (Resurrection) Sunday we will worship at 8a.m. and 10a.m.; the Cub Scouts will prepare a pancake

breakfast --- so come early or stay late --- and then an egg hunt for the littles after the 10a.m.

This past Sunday our ruling council met, and we acknowledged the disconnect with the surrounding

community and seeking ideas and ways we might restore and rebuild relationship (you are invited to join!)

First Word articles are due today to Lydia --- the 24th is the day every month!

Our journey through Lent is almost complete... and the book that has guided our journey (Lent in Plain Sight) has invited us to look for the sacred within the ordinary.

How is your vision starting to see anew?

What are you seeing with new eyes?

Go in God's peace and I look forward to talking with you more, as we share hope with all we encounter!
